Summer Studio Update and MVP Series Drip

This has been an amazing Summer 2012 – writing MVP in my lab, watching the Olympics on TV and gigging the many amazing Summer festivals in the US. Got to hang out with so many MartyParty fans and see so many performer buddies and actually have a drink with them in the daytime. So cool.

After Six Shots Tour I came home and chilled out for a bit in Mexico, and then got back in the studio for my 4th series of musical experiments.

I wanted to compose a whole new driving music dynamic with bass, and pictured driving in a sick Ferrari style car and feeling good out on the highway on the way to an awesome party with gorgeous people. The result was a collection of tracks I call the MVP Series. I had the MVP name stuck in my head from the incredible NBA season and from the Marty Von Party nickname Justin Boreta gave me which just stuck at home… especially when I’m in the purple gown. Ha.

The collection is another crazy ride through the styles of music I love in a rich melodic experience with booty bouncing bass. Over the course of three weeks, 18 projects were drafted that later matured into the songs I will time-release “drip” one-by-one. It all starts with “Bling Bling,” due out next week.

In just a few weeks, Ooah will join me here in my Williamsburg studios to finish off our second PANTyRAiD album. After that, I hit the road to tour the new music. I’ll be performing alongside some of my favorite artists and in some of the most special venues in the US including a series of dates with PRETTY LIGHTS.
